Policies and Procedures

  1. Enrollment Policy

(a) Eligibility: Students must meet age and ability requirements for respective programs.

(b) Registration Process: Post a successful trial, registration and tuition fees must be paid in full for enrollment.

(c) Documentation Required: Terms & Conditions form duly signed by parents/guardians, medical form, and documents for previous dance experience (if applicable).

  1. Attendance Policy

(a) Class Attendance: Regular attendance is mandatory for progress.

(b) Absences: Notify the academy in advance if a student will be absent.

(c) Make-Up Classes at Pamtoes Kids (Preschool Dance Program)

We offer students one make-up class per month. This will be in a different class of the same level. Make-up classes cannot be carried forward or extended to the following month.

(i) Make-Up Class Restrictions

Make-up classes are not available in the three months leading up to the showcase exclamation. During this time, each class is practicing specific routines for the performance.

(ii) Exceptions for Extended Illness or Injury

If a student misses classes due to a serious illness or injury lasting longer than three weeks, we may offer an extension on a case-by-case basis. Medical documentation (certificate or report) will be required to support such requests.

(iii) Makeup Classes at Pamtoes Academy (Senior Dance Program)

Make up classes are not offered to students. In the event where a student has missed classes due to prolonged serious illness or injury lasting for more than 3 weeks, we shall offer extension on case to case basis. No refund or credit is given for missed classes. Injuries or extreme illness will have to be substantiated with medical certificate/reports.

(iv)Travel / Vacation Planning

During the summer months of April to July, any students planning on vacation can inform the front desk of their dates before paying for the term and get an extension for a maximum of 1 to 3 weeks of classes. Fees for remaining months will be taken in full regardless of any travel plans. We require 90% attendance for students to take part in exams and annual showcase.

(a) PAMTOES KIDS (PRESCHOOL PROGRAM)

Registration Fee at Pamtoes Kids

Pamtoes Kids charges a one-time registration fee of INR 1,000 when you first enroll your child. This fee secures your spot in the chosen classes and helps offset administrative costs. These costs include setting up your student in our studio-class-management system, music licensing, and administrative software. The registration fee also helps keep your monthly tuition fees lower.

Validity of Registration Fee

The registration fee is valid for your child’s lifetime enrollment at Pamtoes Kids, as long as there is no break in attendance exceeding 30 days.

Re-registration After Leave of Absence

If your child takes a leave of absence for more than 30 days and wishes to rejoin later, you will need to re-register them by paying the registration fee again.

Fee Payment

Monthly or Quarterly Tuition fees must be paid at the beginning of each billing cycle. Please note that fees are non-refundable. Current payment of all fees is required for students to attend classes and participate in productions.

(b) PAMTOES ACADEMY (SENIOR DANCE PROGRAM)

Yearly Program

At Pamtoes Academy, duration of each level is for a minimum of a year. Some levels are for two years. You have the option to pay for the yearly fees in full or in four 3 months or two 6 months installments. We do not have a monthly fee option. Ballet is a classical dance form with multiple levels and follows a structured syllabus. Pamtoes is affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance (UK) and offers the RAD exams under their world renowned syllabus. Students have to choose between the annual RAD exam or our internal assessment to pass to the next level.

Fee Payment

Fee is to be paid at the beginning of each term and is non-refundable. Registration fee for new admissions will be charged once only and it is valid for a lifetime. Fees must be current in order for the student to attend class and participate in productions.

  1. Dress Code Policy

(a) Specific attire for each dance style. The uniform set by the academy.

(b) Hair must be tied back, no jewelry or accessories that can hinder movement. No phones and watches.

  1. Code of Conduct

(a) Respect: Students must show respect to instructors, staff, and fellow students.

(b) Behavior: No disruptive behavior during classes. Follow instructions from instructors.

(c) Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes and rehearsals.

  1. Safety Procedures

(a) Emergency Protocols: Follow the academy’s emergency procedures during any incidents.

(b) Injury: Report any injuries immediately to the instructor. First aid provided on-site.

(c) Facility Safety: No running in the hallways, and keep personal belongings in designated areas.

  1. Parent Observation Policy

(a) Open House Weeks: Mandatory for parents to observe classes during scheduled open house weeks.

(b) Regular Classes: Parents cannot observe regular classes to avoid distractions. Feedback can be taken from the instructor at the end of each class.

  1. Class Cancellation and Weather Policy

(a) Inclement Weather: Classes may be canceled due to severe weather. Notifications will be sent via whatsapp.

(b) Cover up Classes: Provided for weather-related cancellations.

  1. Withdrawal Policy

(a) Notification: Provide a written notice at least one month in advance.

(b) Refunds: No refunds for the remaining classes of the month. Future payments will be stopped after the notice period.

  1. Health and Wellness Policy

(a) Illness: Students showing signs of illness should stay home and recover.

(b) Hygiene: Encourage regular hand washing and personal hygiene.

(c) Medical Conditions: Inform the academy of any medical conditions or allergies.

  1. Photo and Video Policy

(a) Consent: Photos and videos used can be used for promotional purposes unless requested not to.

(b) Usage: Photos and videos may be used on the academy’s website, social media, and marketing materials.

  1. Communication Policy

(a) Updates: Regular updates via email, newsletters, and the academy’s whatsapp number.

(b) Contact Information: Keep contact details updated for timely communication.

  1. Privacy Policy

(a) Data Protection: Personal information is kept confidential and used only for academy purposes.

(b) Third-Party Sharing: Information is not shared with third parties without consent.

  1. Enrollment Period

We have year round enrollments. A student needs to complete a minimum of a year to be eligible for RAD exams. Students are promoted to the next level in June.

  1. Public Holidays and School Holidays

The academy will observe public holidays and school holidays according to the local calendar. Classes will not be held on these days unless otherwise specified. Holidays from Pamtoes Academy a one-week break for Diwali, a two-week holiday in December, and 7 to 10 days for RAD International exams (April/May) varying by location.

  1. Annual Showcase Participation

To ensure a cohesive and polished performance in our Annual Showcase, students are required to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 90%. This requirement allows students to fully engage with choreography, develop teamwork skills, and contribute to the overall success of the performance. Students who do not meet the attendance threshold may be ineligible to participate in the showcase to maintain the quality and integrity of the performance.

  1. RAD Examinations

RAD examinations serve as a benchmark for students to gauge their progress and proficiency in dance technique. Consistent attendance is essential for students to adequately prepare for examinations and demonstrate their skills effectively. Additionally, RAD examinations often require a minimum attendance rate for eligibility to ensure that students have received sufficient instruction and practice to succeed at their respective levels.

By maintaining a high level of attendance, students not only enhance their technical abilities but also cultivate discipline, dedication, and a strong work ethic. These qualities are invaluable not only in dance but also in various aspects of life.
